Okariba is located on the North side of Maruta-machi Dori, just West of the intersection
with Shirakawa Dori, directly across the street from Okazaki Junior High School.



Okariba is the set of sliding wooden doors on the left, just look for the unmistakable signs
featuring the shotgun wielding cannibalistic boar mascots.


Subway:
Take the Tozai Line to Keage Station, Exit 2.
~15 minute walk: North on Niomon Dori, then North on Shirakawa Dori, then West on Maruta-machi Dori.
If you are taking the subway from Kyoto Station take the Karasuma Line to
Karasumaoike Station and then transfer to the Tozai Line bound for Keage Station.

Taxi:
About 15 minutes drive and ¥1600 from Kyoto (Shinkansen) Station.
Print the map and give it to your driver along with the phone number, he will
be happy to call Okariba if he has any questions about how to get there.
Aoki-san will call you a return taxi when you are ready to leave.

Bus:
~1 minute walk from the HigashiTenno-cho stop on bus #100 departing from Stand D1 at Kyoto Station.
Note that this is a 30 minute ride, but its only ¥230.

Shinkansen notes:
If you are planning a day trip to Kyoto from another city keep the following in mind:
The last Shinkansen departure of the night bound for Tokyo is at 9:34PM on the Nozomi 64,
and the last Shinkansen departure of the night bound for Osaka is at 11:32PM on the Nozomi 265.
The Japan Rail Pass is not valid on the Nozomi trains, so plan accordingly by leaving
earlier on the Hikari or Kodama trains to avoid getting stuck in Kyoto overnight.
